Hello! Yesterday was a lovely lovely day. I went downtown with duh boyfrand and watched The Fault in Our Stars! Oh my god, I was so excited and oh my god, I died. The movie will never ever be as great as the book. And that makes total sense because there is no way you can portray a character's full personality on screen and there is no way to show a character's full inner emotions on screen either. But I am definitely satisfied with the movie and I will probably watch it more than 3 times.
The poster is pretty much perfect. In all honesty, when I first saw the trailer and the actors... I was like meh. But they both played the characters extremely well.
And here is me and Roy being weird and taking selfies before the movie. We basically arrived downtown an hour before the movie because I thought there would be a lot of people lining up (like that time with Catching Fire...) but I guess that's why they had show times 50 minutes apart. Thank goodness there weren't that many people and we got super good seats!
After the movie, we went to Salad King! A few of my friends, including Roy, have been there and told me that it was pretty good. Maybe I didn't have much of an appetite that day but I didn't think it was as good as people said it was so I was a bit disappointed. However, I really liked the environment and the restaurant decor!
After lunch, we shopped for a bit and then met up with Patricia! We got something small to eat and then we were off to SPOTLIGHT 2K14! It was my first time being in the audience and not on stage which was different. I miss being on stage and freaking out with people backstage. And I guess I just miss vybe in general. In my opinion, I thought that last year's show was better in terms of being more entertaining, fun, and more thought out. But nonetheless, it was a good show! I'm also glad I got to see some of my friends again.
And that was basically my day!
